Are you looking for both culture and tradition in one vacation? Maybe you would like to climb the Great Wall and visit Bird’s Nest in the same day? If so , visit Beijing. Beijingt is the city which held 2008 Olympic Games, and is the culture center of China.
China is known for its long culture. The Birds Nest is nearby the North 4th Ring RD. Spend the whole day by climbing the Great Wall. Then head back to the Bird’s Nest for the evening.
Sydney, Australia — Article from EnglishTown.
Are you looking for both beaches and culture in one vacation? Maybe you would like to go surfing and see a show in the same day? If so, visit Sydney. Sydney is the biggest city in Australia, and offers many attractions for tourists.
Australia is known for its beautiful beaches, and Bondi Beach is only 15 minutes from Sydney. Spend the morning at the beach, where you can swim, surf, or sunbathe. Then head back to the city for the afternoon. Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens and look out for the large colony of bats that spend their days sleeping upside down in the palm trees! After that, you must visit the world famous Opera House which was designed in 1957. It took 19 years to build. There are five theaters inside the Opera House, and the biggest theater can hold 2,700 people.
When you want to take a break from the city, you can visit nearby Hunter Valley. The valley is the oldest wine-growing area in Australia - and the white wine is excellent! One in five Australia lives Sydney. They call themselves “Sydneysiders”, and they are proud of their city. Plan your trip now. Fly non-stop to Sydney as soon as you can!
What have I learnt yesterday?
Yesterday , I atteneded three EF classes. CS– First Impression, PF2 — Exchange and Currencies and CF2 — Trading places.
In CS , Ryan taught us some good behaviors when exchanging business cards. Such as be prepared, don’t use torn or worn cards , do make it a point to hand out business cards, do receive a business card properly (accept it and have a good look at it for a few seconds.), don’t hand out more than one card to a new contact, and?do exchange business cards smoothly(put business cards in a easy-to-find place).
In PF2, I learnt four currencies - USD, RMB, GBP and EUR. And I learnt some useful phrases to compare two currencies. Stronger against / Weaker against / increase in value against / decrease in value against . And we discussed why currency value went up and down. There are some factors -import/export, stock market, policy, inflation and so on.
In CF2, I learnt some differnet culture and lifestyle between different countries. Such as transport, eating, etiquette, business and leisure activities.

Key learning of Entrepreneurship and BP.
There are four key words of this course.
Opportunity, Resource, Risk and Return.
Nowadays, because of the financing crisis of Wall Street, Risk maybe the most important factor.
When you want to start your own company , firstly you should analyze your resource , and then find the appropriate opportunities which match your resource.
Writing a business plan (1)
I have a course of teaching how to write business plan this term. The teacher who graduated from Wharton Business has a lot of experience on vencture captial and financing industry.
I will review the content of this course step by step.
1.Types of new business.
New product & New business system will have more opportunities.
New industry would have more opportunities, but it is too difficult to develop a new industry.
New product:
??????? You should analyze your product, use S.T.P model (Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning). Your product is for special users , but big company cannot provide this kind of product immediately.
New bussiness system:
??????? You should develop a new business model or new usage of existing products. For example, GOME company has a?very huge cash flow, because it has the most important resource - marketing channel , so every manufactories should obey the rules which was given by GOME. Then Gome has enough money, they can do business on real estate and other different industries.
2.There are about 9 chapters in a business plan.
- Executive summary
- Product/service
- Management team
- Market and competition
- Marketing and sales
- Business system
- Implementation plan
- Financing
- Opportunities and risks
Detail explanation will be given later.

Indirect Questions:
I was just wondering if you were free tomorrow night?
Tag Questions:
You like Chinese food, don’t you?
Learning @ EF.
I went to EF tonight after work, and?I attended two classes - CF1 Act Wisely and AF1 Indirect Questions. In CF1, I have learnt something about “taboo”.
Taboo means you should not do something or say something which others think bad or not suitable.? There are many taboo conversation topics in the West , either in China. For example , in china, when people use numbers they try to avoid using 4 , because the number 4 has the similar sound with “death” in Chinese.
And then , we learnt some bodily functions. There are many bodily functions , some are voluntary , and some are involuntary. Voluntary means we choose to do it and are usually at least a little aware that we are doing it. Such as crossing fingers. Involuntary means that we can’t really control whether we do it or not.
The teachers in EF have different teaching style. Ryan who teaches us CF1 , is very humorous and handsome, he is very meticulous and corrects all the errors we made. But some teachers are not so good. They just try to read sentences and waiting for class over.
